Hopefully...

After April 7, I will have a new layout up for this blog site. At the moment, I will be studying and watching those darn reality/competition shows...Oh, and Gilmore Girls.

Sigh, my liberal study and minors are not helping my mark. BAH.

ACADEMY AWARDS!!!

Denise Predicts: Brokeback Mountain is not going to be the next LOTR. No clean sweep tonight for the buzz-worthy film. Crash will be the unexpected winner for best picture, and if it doesn't win...Denise predicts she'll be eating broccoli for breakfast.

Best Picture - Crash
I don't care about Brokeback Mountain, it can have all the hype in the world, but the indie film written and directed by a Canadian will take Mr. Oscar home tonight.

Best Actor in a Leading Role - Philip Seymour Hoffman
Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix and TERRENCE HOWARD are all very hot, but this year ain't their year.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role - Matt Dillon/George Clooney
Matt Dillon - Because he made me laugh, cry, hate him, and love him. He's awesome.
George Clooney -Because he pulled a Charlize Theron and gained 30 lbs. for the part.

Best Actress in a Leading Role - Reese Witherspoon
She captured June Carter Cash very well. That and I really want to see if her husband will murder her this time.

Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Rachel Weisz
Because I said so.

Best Director - Ang Lee for Brokeback Mountain
Well, he did help those matinee idols deliver an Oscar caliber performance. I'd like Paul Haggis to take the award home, but Ang Lee is also my dawg.

Animated Feature – I don’t know.

Original Song - It's a battle between "In the Deep" and "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp"
Both are really good.

Original Score - Memoirs of a Geisha
Err...It needs to win something.

Screenplay (Adapted) - Brokeback Mountain
Duh.

Screenplay (Original) - CRASH
Duh.
