Storm
Last night, the storm was intense. We lost electricity in our area for about an hour. Nobody freaked out though, it was all fun. The blackout somewhat brought the family together. We had this meaty discussion about complete nothingness. It was great. I totally forgot about all my problems.
It's also amazing how you start to value things that are actually valuable when all the junk is out of the way. Sometimes, I wish for more blackouts to unexpectedly happen, they seem to do some good to people, including me.
Oh, and I finally got my Visa card today.
Yay.
Adulthood, here I come. Debt, here I come.

Heh, I know what you mean about the blackout thing. For some reason brings people together for bonding. That's what happened between my friends and I during the NYC blackout 2 years ago as well.
I guess when you lose technology, you have to find other ways to entertain yourselves, lol.

Haha, I agree. When you lose your means of technology and all that, you end up making do with what's left -- people.
I hate black outs (which are called "brown outs" here :P). It gets so hot, and talking just spreads the hot air. x___X My family and I just lie down and fan each other.

cindy: oh, yeah, i know about that blackout. it affected the whole east coast i believe, including canadians. that was funny, people were freaking out.
omi: we fan each other too when there's a blackout =) i remember in the philippines, when i was just six, my brother, sister and i would not only fan each other but we also copied the power of an electric fan. we have this setting of one-three thing. ahaha...it was cute.
jae: you're lucky, that's all i have to say =P
