Musical Massacre
The week started off pretty bad. First, I missed out on the Radiohead tickets, which I have been waiting for for a long time. Then, Vanessa txt msgd me last night saying that Death from Above 1979 disbanded. Now, this...
This is absolutely ridiculous. I have never been so nervous for an American Idol results show. I have been sweating like a pig and bawling like a baby. *Sigh* I still can't believe it all in spite of my day long of preparation for this moment. I did not really sleep last night, I did not eat my dinner, I did not do the laundry...
C'mon!!! I didn't do the friggin' laundry!!!
I conditioned myself to believing that Elliott is gone this week. But a slight hope made my preparing-for-yamin-boot day pretty darn useless...
This American Idol madness has definitely interfered with my daily/weekly routine, but man, do I feel empty now that Elliott Yamin is gone. This is the most emotional exit yet.
A part of me is happy for the guy. He made it this far. I remember telling myself that as long as he gets in the top 3, I'm happy. And he did, but the closer he got to the prize the more I wanted him to get it. Today, it was obvious that the prize was not for him. Anyway, he got a full sing-out, and he didn't get cut-off like most of the contestants did. So I'm happy that he got a respectable and memorable exit. The producers must like him a lot.
Better things are in store.
Elliott Yamin is off the show...
And I no longer have a life.
