Call me Lifeless...
It's ok, I am. I watch American Idol religiously and I really, really, reaaaaaaaaaally, want Elliott to make it to the next round. Man, if I was only American, I would vote so many times for him until my fingers burn. But I can't, which leaves me in a very vulnerable state.
He didn't have a stellar performance tonight. As a matter of fact, the whole show was pretty lacklustre. Elliott was glued to the ground as always. Katharine still doesn't know what on earth is going on and smiles at the most awkward and inappropriate parts of the songs...as always. And Taylor...Taylor is Taylor...as always.
Katharine bothers me. Somewhere Over the Rainbow is probably one of the saddest songs and has a very interesting story behind it that truly embodies Judy Garland's past and downfall, but why was she smiling?! No passion, no connection, nada! Then all of a sudden, it was the best performance in the whole season?! It didn't even touch me the way Judy Garland sang it in one of her comeback shows. Heh, I'd like to think of it as Simon feeding his ego because he picked the song.
Taylor was all right, not too worried for him.
The judges were really harsh on Elliott, it seems like they want him out of there. But in spite of all the put-downs the judges casted on him, Elliott did not talk back. Unlike Katharine, the judges disagrees and she's all defensive like they have no right to criticize her messed up performance(s). She's full of herself.
[EDIT:]
Total time : Katharine - 5:36
Taylor - 5:22
Elliott - 4:33
What? Elliott gets a minute less than Katharine? WHATKINDOFASJHFSHHDHJH!?
BAHHH! Whatever!
